Kate Middleton‘s hair is certainly her crowning glory!

The Duchess of Cambridge, 32, had a whirlwind visit to NYC from Dec. 7 to 9, jumping from an intimate dinner in Gramercy Park to a royal dinner at the Met without ever skipping a sartorial beat—or putting a hair out of place!

Prince William‘s wife modeled four fabulous hairstyles during her Big Apple adventure: her signature, glossy blowout, a twisted half-updo, a bouncy ponytail, and a romantic, curled low bun—and we’ve lined them all up for you here so you can relive all of the prettiness in one place.

Scroll down to see each of the Duchess’ tour ‘dos in action—with tips on how to recreate each style at home.

The Twisted Half-Updo

On the morning of Dec. 8, the Duchess donned a military Goat coat for a visit to the Northside Center for Child Development, so she softened the look with a lovely half-updo, courtesy of her stylist Amanda Cook.

For a look like Middleton’s, start with day-old hair—the better to hold curls! Pull the tendrils surrounding your face up on each side and crisscross them at the back of your head to create a flat mini-braid, then pin in place.

The Classic Blowout

No one rocks a glossy, bouncy, impossibly perfect blowout quite like Middleton (as she modeled upon her arrival at the Carlyle Hotel on Dec. 7, and at the Nets game she attended on Dec. 8)—but it does take a little bit of work! “If you rough dry your hair too much, or you throw your head upside down and wave the hairdryer through it, that makes it go frizzy,” Richard Ward, whose salon Prince George‘s mom frequently visits, previously told Us Weekly.

The hair pro recommends drying your hair about 20 percent before hitting it with a dryer, one with a concentrator nozzle. Use a real-bristle brush to add Kate-worthy curls to your ends. And don’t forget, Ward said, “Anyone with long hair should have it trimmed regularly!”

The Bouncy Ponytail

The next day, Middleton and her husband braved the rain for a visit to the National September 11 Memorial and Museum. And thanks to her sleek ponytail, the royal’s tresses stayed frizz-free, beating the elements.

For a princess ponytail, make sure to back comb your hair at the roots, so that there will be extra volume at the crown. Middleton also prefers to have her ponytails wrapped with hair, a trick that adds polish. For that, just grab a small section from the base of your ‘tail, wrap it around your hairband multiple times, and then discreetly pin it in place.

The Romantic Bun

For the couple’s final public event—a dinner at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in honor of their alma mater, St. Andrews Univeristy—Middleton rewore her midnight blue Jenny Packham gown, which meant that she had to freshen up her hairstyle. Enter this romantic updo—essentially a pile of curls, parted at the the top and pinned into a low bun at the nape of neck.

For a glitzy style as smooth as the royal’s—especially in the rain!—make sure to work a small dollop of oil (like the Moroccanoil treatment; $15, Nordstrom.com) into your hair to prevent frizz and protect against heat damage before curling. And again, don’t be afraid to use that day-old blowout to start!
