Ruff day. Carrie Underwood recently recalled the horrifying moment when she and her husband, Mike Fisher, accidentally locked their infant son in the car back in July.
"We were at the airport, the car was running, the radio was on, the air conditioning was on, our family kind of came to see us off," Underwood, 32, explained to Chicago's US 99.5 radio station. "As you do, you get out of the front seat and you shut the door so you can turn around, so you can get your luggage out."
She continued: "Immediately, one of the dogs jumped up on the little control panel on the door, and I heard the thing click. I was like, 'The doors locked, the doors locked, the doors locked!'"
The multi-Grammy Award winner and the hunky NHL pro, 35, tried to get creative in order to get to their adorable 6-month-old. But their pups, Ace and Penny Jean, weren't much help.
When your dogs manage to lock themselves, all your stuff & the baby in the car & you have to break a window to get in. #WhatAreTheChances

"We were trying to jimmy open the car door. Nobody had a hanger," Underwood explained. "I was trying to get the dogs to come back over and do the same thing and unlock the door."
I should clarify. My bro-in-law was actually the window breaker in the "dogs-locked-the-car-door" incident today! But all is good now!

Finally, the couple had no other option. “When your dogs manage to lock themselves, all your stuff & the baby in the car & you have to break a window to get in,” she tweeted at the time of the incident. “What are the chances.”
