That was fast! Just three weeks after Austin Mahone and Camila Cabello confirmed that they were in a relationship, the two teen pop stars have already called it quits.
Fifth Harmony singer Cabello, 17, broke the news of the breakup in an interview with Kiss 96.1 radio on Monday, Nov. 24. Asked about her relationship with Mahone, the teen star said, "We're actually not together anymore."
Staying mum on the reason for the split, Cabello said it happened "recently" and added simply, "Hey, things happen."
Mahone, 18, has yet to comment on his newly single status. The "MMM Yeah" singer appears on the December/January cover of Teen Vogue, where he dished on his then-girlfriend Cabello.
"She's an amazing girl, and we have the best time together," he said of his now-ex. "I wasn't looking for a relationship, but we became really good friends when we were on tour."
Cabello, whose Fifth Harmony girl group played shows with Mahone throughout 2014, was the first to confirm the couple's relationship. Speaking to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live! earlier this month, the star admitted that she was dating the singer, prompting Mahone to tweet to his fans, "Like you guys didn't know already."
Cabello won't be spending the holiday season wallowing, however, as she said she has her sights set on new men, quipping, "I need some mistletoe action!"
