Bey day was a success! Beyonce received millions of well-wishes on her 34th birthday on Friday, Sept. 4 — and got the best one from daughter Blue Ivy!
The “XO” singer shared the sweet handwritten birthday card she received from her baby girl via Instagram. Beyonce and Jay Z’s toddler, 3, used crayons to draw a birthday cake and tell her “mom” she’s No. 1.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all my birthday wishes,” the proud mom captioned the photo.
As previously reported, Jay Z and Blue also surprised Queen Bey with a video tribute, which was posted on her website. It featured messages from her parents, Tina and Mathew, Destiny’s Child bandmates, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and sister Solange Knowles. Jay Z, in particular, threw back to a time that the couple sweetly sang Coldplay’s “Yellow” while on vacation.
Other stars to give a shout-out to the birthday girl included Lena Dunham, Anna Kendrick, and First Lady Michelle Obama. (Last year, Blake Lively made a beehive cake in honor of Beyonce’s big day.)
“May she forever reign,” Dunham wrote via Instagram. Kendrick added: “Never trust a bitch who doesn’t love Beyoncé.”
FLOTUS, in particular, thanked Beyonce for inspiring others. “Happy birthday to the one and only, Queen!” she tweeted, using a bee emoji. “Thank you for being a role model for young girls around the world, @Beyonce. -mo.”
