Katherine McKee, Sammy Davis Jr.’s Ex-Girlfriend, Accuses Bill Cosby of Raping Her in the ’70s

Katherine McKee, the ex-girlfriend of Sammy Davis Jr., has come forward and accused Bill Cosby of raping her in the '70s.

And another. Former actress Katherine McKee is the latest woman to come forward and accuse Bill Cosby of alleged sexual assault in the 1970s.

McKee, the ex-girlfriend of late entertainer Sammy Davis, Jr., recalled the alleged incident to the New York Daily News on Monday, Dec. 22, alleging that the incident occurred while she was on tour with Davis.

“Back then, I was Sammy’s road wife,” she told the paper about her relationship with the Rat Pack member. “He had an open marriage, and we were lovers. That’s how it went.”

McKee, now 65, said she had known Cosby for eight years when he raped her. “He was a buddy. He knew I was Sammy’s girl,” she recalled.

Cosby had allegedly asked McKee to pick up some ribs from a local barbecue hotspot, and to retrieve him from his hotel. That’s when the incident occurred. “I remember I walked in the door, and he had a robe and cap on. He took the ribs from my hands and just grabbed me,” she said. “He spun me around, pulled my panties down, and just took it. We were still standing at the door when he attacked me.”

McKee added: “It was so fast and so shocking and so unbelievable.”

Now a casting agent, she said she fled to the bathroom afterward, and Cosby got dressed. “To me, there was a different personality involved. He was a different man. It felt like a different person performing that act,” she told the paper. “Bill was so rude and cold toward me the rest of the night. I thought, ‘When this boat docks, I’m out of here.'”

McKee — who had previously appeared on The Bill Cosby Show in 1971 and Sanford and Son the following year — said she never told Davis about the alleged incident. “I didn’t want to put that in Sammy’s head,” she reasoned. “I was mad at my own self for not saying, ‘What the f—?’ Why didn’t I stop it and get him away from me? But it happened too fast. I was absolutely flabbergasted. And I had the guilt. I questioned myself, ‘Why did I go there? Why did I bring him those ribs? Maybe he thought that’s what I wanted too?'”

It took time to process and come to terms with what Cosby had allegedly done to her, she said. “It was a rape, but it seemed so strange to call it that. We think of rape as a stranger who attacks you in a parking lot,” McKee told the paper. “I chalked it up to another powerful person in Hollywood who just felt he could take what he wanted from women.”

More than 20 women — including ’80s supermodels Beverly Johnson and Janice Dickinson — have come forward, accusing the comedian of sexual assault. McKee said it’s befuddling that Cosby’s wife Camille would even stand by her husband amidst the many accusations.

“I knew her,” McKee told the paper. “We’d been to dinner, all of us, many times. This is not a stupid woman. She has her head buried in the sand.”
