Common interests! Bindi Irwin has found her perfect match in her new boyfriend, Chandler Powell. In Australia's Telegraph Style magazine, the 17-year-old animal activist opened up about her new relationship.
"I was blessed to meet Chandler and his family back in November 2013," she revealed of the 18-year-old American wakeboarder from Florida. "We remained in touch and stayed friends. Since then, our friendship has developed into something really special."
Though Irwin said the pair is "connected," and remain in touch via Snapchat and Skype, it's not hard for them to spend time together. Powell is a global ambassador for Irwin’s Wildlife Warriors team.
"He is passionate about wildlife and an extraordinary wakeboarder," she revealed. "We are excited to be achieving more conservation work together. I feel lucky to have him in my life."
In addition to her new romance, Irwin also is trying to switch up her look. Instead of her signature khaki ensembles, the Aussie is trying to branch out.
"Khaki is a part of who I am, but it's fun to get dressed up every now and then. Being a bit of a girl is always exciting," she said. "You can’t jump on a croc or climb a tree if you’re not in khaki, but I do like different clothes and playing around with it a bit."
