The short, presented by Integrity House, was made by adolescents and promotes hope and transformation. Filmed during the summer, the concept of the movie was conceived with one goal in mind: to keep clients clean, sober and engaged in residential treatment. The film will premiere at Bow Tie Cinemas Clairidge Cinema in Montclair, N.J. on Feb. 26.

Named one of Pinstripe Mag Top 5 Men You Should Know in NYC, Porporino is a long-time philanthropist, who has supported charities like the Wounded Warrior Project and Margaux Minutolo’s Karma for a Cure Anti-Bullying. He volunteers at Integrity House along with Conrad Muscarella.

Director of Integrity House, Roman Petrocelli, was thrilled to get Porporino involved and hosting the afterparty at N.J. celebrity hotspot Fresco, also in Montclair, N.J.

“After meeting Franco and telling him about my program and the short film we were making he jumped in immediately by coming down to my all-male adolescent residential program in Newark to speak with my clients and find out more details of the program,” Petrocelli tells Us Weekly. “Franco has been a wonderful motivational speaker to these young men who desperately need positive male role-models in their lives. Franco has shared how misfortune can strike at any time but you need to have hope to persevere. These young men consider Franco their mentor and greatly appreciate his generosity, as he often brings the guys food from Fresco restaurant in Montclair.”

More info on the charity and the event can be found at Intergrityhouse.org. Tickets for the event (which includes dinner at Fresco) start at $150.
