She’s still Jenny from the block! Jennifer Aniston returned to the NYC diner where she once worked on Tuesday, Dec. 16.

The actress, 45, stopped by a Jackson Hole Burgers location on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, where she once worked as a waitress in the beginning stages of her acting career. Wearing a tiny black skirt and oversized coat, Aniston grabbed dinner at the popular burger spot before heading to Lincoln Center for a screening of her buzzed-about film Cake.

Aniston looked back at her past experience as a waitress at Jackson Hole while appearing on The Queen Latifah Show on Dec. 1.

“I’ve had so many bosses,” the Best Actress Golden Globe nominee noted. “I worked at a restaurant called Jackson Hole, on 85th and Columbus, burger joint. The best burgers by the way. I worked there for about two and half years, and they were so good to me.” (There are several Jackson Hole locations across NYC and the Tri-State area.)

She particularly spoke fondly about her boss at Jackson Hole, whose name is Kimo. “If I got a crappy little play down on 13th street or whatever awesome job I thought I had received,” she mused, “he would let me go for two or three months, and they would always let me come back. My job was always there.”

The Friends alum joked: “What I thought was my real job was being a waitress and then I would go and do theater on the side.”

During the show, Queen Latifah ambush-dialed Kimo while Aniston was on her West Coast-based show. “We love you!” Kimo gushed to the actress, congratulating her on her successes as a movie star. “I can’t wait to see ya,” he added.

An emotional Aniston said to Kimo: “Thank you for supporting me all those years, it meant the world to me.”

As for Aniston’s actual skill as a waitress? In a 2011 interview with Marie Claire, the actress joked that it wasn’t exactly her forte. “I waited a lot of tables, and I wasn’t very good at that,” she admitted. “I dropped more than one Alpine burger in customers’ laps, and you just do not want all of that Swiss cheese and mushrooms in your pants,” she said. “I wasn’t a good waitress, but I was told that I was very nice and charming, so people liked me anyway.”
