Birthday wishes from the ex-boyfriend! Jennifer Lopez received love from her former flame Casper Smart on her 45th birthday, which fell on Thursday, July 24.
“Happppppppy Birthday to the most Beautiful lil bear in the world!!!!” Smart wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture of a birthday cake molded in the shape of a beautiful bear. “May all your wishes come true!! @JLo.”
Us Weekly confirmed in June that Lopez and Smart had split after two and a half years together. “It wasn’t an easy decision, but they decided to stay friends,” a source close to J.Lo told Us. “Their relationship couldn’t work with the distance. He started trying to establish his own life and career, and she is so focused on hers, and they just couldn’t be all about each other anymore.”
Even after their split, Smart actively supported Lopez in her latest endeavors, including the release of her A.K.A. album in mid-June. The backup dancer shared a snap of the record’s cover and told fans to “Get it while its HOTT!!!” adding: “Its fire with so many dope songs & features.”
While their romance has fizzled, the single lady was joined in the Hamptons for her 45th festivities by a group of her closest girlfriends—including her bestie Leah Remini. Throughout the special day, Lopez shared several pictures on Instagram, including one gorgeous, makeup-free snap of herself naked in a bathtub filled with rose petals.
