Legendary ‘80s rock group Journey is currently preparing to go on the road with a new drummer. Deen Castronovo, who joined the band as a drummer in 1998, has been charged with rape, sexual abuse, coercion, and unlawful use of a weapon, according to TMZ.
The "Heartbreaker" singer was arrested in Miami Beach early on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, on suspicion of drag racing, DUI and driving with an expired license. A police report stated that he resisted without violence before being taken into custody.
The site claims that Castronovo’s charges are related to his wife and that he’s being held without bail in Marion County, Oregon.
Brown was charged with two felonies after allegedly beating his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, ahead of the 2009 Grammy Awards.
The band kicked out Castronovo after news of the charges came out and have replaced him with Omar Hakim, who has performed with Michael Jackson, Anita Baker, Dire Straits, and Sting.
Appearing in his first leading role in 1983’s Risky Business, Cruise went on to star in acclaimed films including the mega-smash Top Gun in and Rain Man. Cruise — who wed Katie Holmes in 2006 — will next be seen in the big screen adaptation of Rock of Ages as headbanger Stacee Jaxx. Related: ’80s […]
The group’s next tour stop is on July 4 in Provo, Utah.
