A good time for reflection. Kate Major opened up to Us Weekly exclusively on Friday, April 17, after she was arrested.
The wife of Michael Lohan and stepmother to Lindsay Lohan was taken into custody on Thursday evening in Boca Raton, Fla. Major has struggled with alcohol and was reportedly found under the influence after she and Michael got into a physical altercation.
"My main concern is the welfare of my children who are MY life and I am refocusing on my sobriety," Major tells Us. "Please respect our family's privacy at this time."
The former reporter married Michael, 54, in October 2013. The couple has two children together, sons Landon, 2, and Logan, 3 months. A source close to Major tells Us that the mother is focusing on her family as she gets back on track.
"Kate is just so heartbroken and embarrassed and she really just wants to keep their family issues private," the insider says. "She won’t say anything badly about anyone in the family and she’s really working hard to get better."
