Britney vs. Xtina, Swift vs. Perry, and now White and Gold vs. Blue and Black? These are the great debates of our time. Now an Austin, Texas man named Daniel Howland has permanently commemorated the recent “Dressgate” with a new tattoo.
Located on the side of his right knee, the tattoo is a drawing of the meme-forming dress with the words “White And Gold?” written around it. The dress itself appears to be blue and black (or does it?!).
Last week the controversial dress went viral online, when the mother of the bride, Grace Johnson, sent it to her daughter for dress approval. Viewers were shocked when many saw the frock as blue and black while plenty of others saw white and gold.
On Saturday, Feb. 28, Howland posted the picture on Instagram, which immediately got noticed. After receiving some criticism, Howland posted another shot of the ink with the words, “Still a better tattoo than infinity sign spouse name. Feather exploding into birds. Ect.”
Howland’s Instagram account seems to be a shrine to his numerous pieces of body art. His entire back (down to his, err, booty) is coverage with a giant dragon and lightning bolts. He also has colorful shapes and patterns crawling up his neck and framing his chin.
