The child molestation case brought against Michael Jackson's estate by Australian-born choreographer Wade Robson has been dismissed, after a judge ruled too much time had passed to file a claim in court.
Robson, 32, star of Fox's So You Think You Can Dance, and choreographer to celebrities including Britney Spears and 'N Sync, alleged he was repeatedly abused by Jackson for eight years, beginning in 1990.
But Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff ruled the choreographer had waited too long to make a legal claim and dismissed the filing on Wednesday, May 27.
Robson had previously said, under oath, that the "Thriller" singer had never abused him (the testimony was given during another molestation case brought against Jackson in 2005, for which he was eventually acquitted). At that time, witnesses claimed they had seen Jackson molest Robson, but the dancer vehemently denied it.
His recent suit, which was filed against Jackson's estate in 2013 four years after his death, was, according to Robson, the result of a breakthrough in therapy which he received following a pair of nervous breakdowns in 2011.
Jackson's estate has denied Robson's allegations of abuse.
