More than a crush! Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton showed off some PDA on Twitter on Sunday, March 29, in support of fellow country music stars Little Big Town.
“I got a song crush! Love yall @littlebigtown #girlcrush #PlayGirlCrush @blakeshelton,” the “Automatic” crooner, 31, captioned a shot of her kissing her husband of almost four years, while both wore hats that read “Girl Crush LBT.”
The red and white trucker hats are a new push to stand behind the country group, whose latest single “Girl Crush” has reportedly been pulled from several Idaho radio stations due to complaints over the sexual lyrics.
“When we wrote it and it got played around town, the reaction was, ‘Oh my God, this is our favorite song we’ve heard in a long time’ and ‘Thank you so much for writing such a great song,'” songwriter Liz Rose recently told ABC News. “I think the negativity just came from a few places and that’s what got out.”
Several country music stars have shared photos on social media, wearing the hats in support of the group. The song is currently at the top of the iTunes country charts.
Voice coach Shelton, 38, meanwhile, had a special message for his wife on Saturday, March 28, tweeting, “Lucky bastards in NYC get to see @mirandalambert tonight at Madison Square Garden… So proud of you baby!! I love you!”
