Not just sunshine and parties anymore. Kourtney & Khloe Take the Hamptons took a turn for the dramatic on Sunday, Nov. 23, when Scott Disick was shown deciding to check himself into rehab.

The longtime partner to Kourtney Kardashian, and father to the couple's son Mason, 4, Penelope, 2, and soon to be third child (due in December), Disick has struggled with substance abuse on and off for years. Though Kourtney, 35, has been seeking help and a turnaround for her love for years, he finally decided he was ready in the episode shot this past summer.

Disick, 31, checked into Connecticut's Mountainside Treatment Center just a few days before Khloe Kardashian's 30th birthday in June. The episode showed Disick getting out of control with his partying, and admitting that he took it too far, telling a friend, "I thought I was going to die."

He then reaches out to a rehabilitation center, admitting that he has substance problems and drinks heavily. Although he expressed hesitation for the cost of treatment, Kourtney reminded her man that they are lucky enough to have the funds to cover the help that he needs.

Kourtney addresses the issue with her family, first telling her little sister Kendall Jenner during a trip to the doctor to check on Kourt's third pregnancy. "So, Scott might be going to rehab tomorrow," she told the model, 19. "First of all, he's just like, severely depressed. He makes up whatever pills he thinks he needs to take, and then if you drink with it, I don't think it's good. Just stuff like that."

Kourtney said that Scott wanted to go, but added, "I think he's just scared."

"I've gone over this in my head so many times to try to live a cleaner life, and for some reason I just keep going back to the same routine," Disick said. "I've pretty much become a broken record. And I'm sick of hearing myself talk about the problems I have that I don't fix. And I've always known for a long time I did need to get some help to get to a better place."

"I know my sisters are worried and wondering what Scott is going to do, but I don't want to push him to go to rehab," Kourtney added. "I really want it to be his decision."

Disick made his decision and headed off to the facility. Kourtney then informed her mother Kris Jenner of his choice, telling the momager, "He wanted to go… he wrote me today, he said, 'I finally just got my phone. This is the best and the worst day of my life.'"
