For Solange Knowles, nothing beats NOLA. The singer revealed what makes her happy in an Instagram update posted Monday, July 21. In the accompanying caption, Beyonce's younger sibling gives a big shout out to her part-time home city of New Orleans.
"Boyfriend took this of me the other night when we got home from dancing," Solange, 28, wrote alongside a picture of herself, beaming against a white wall. "I was happy. I am happy here."
The "Losing You" singer continued her post by thanking the historical Southern city for being hospitable to her family after moving there last summer with son Julez, 8, and longtime boyfriend, video director Alan Ferguson, 51.
"Thank you nola for giving me so many wonderful, rich, and endless days of joy," she wrote. "For giving my son one of the best summer experiences. For the night I danced until 8 am in a place filled with nothing but love. I fall in love with you more and more every day. You are magic. I am grateful."
Solange's latest update comes several weeks after she opened up to Lucky about her Met Gala elevator fight involving brother-in-law Jay Z in May.
"What's important is that my family and I are all good," Solange said of her famous brood. "What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that."
