The Jackson 2! Beyonce and her daughter Blue Ivy channeled another royal music family on Friday, Oct. 31, dressing up as Janet Jackson and her late older brother Michael Jackson for Halloween.

The “XO” singer, 33, shared a photo via Instagram of herself with her little girl, 2, in their coordinating costumes. The happy family wore the looks to Power 105.1’s Powerhouse event in New York City, where Jay Z performed.

Beyonce paid homage to Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation days, wearing the military all-black look that the “Miss You Much” singer made iconic in 1989. Perfectly matching Janet’s album cover and accompanying “Rhythm Nation” video, Mrs. Carter rocked a black shirt with coordinating metal-adorned black bottoms and a matched black baseball cap.

She dressed Blue Ivy in one of Michael Jackson’s most famous looks, putting the tot in a red-and-gold military jacket, which the pop star wore various iterations of over his famed 45-year career.

Jay Z‘s daughter completes the look with a black hat, aviator sunglasses, a white embellished glove, and sequin-trimmed black tuxedo pants. She holds a mini pink microphone in her hand and accepts a cheek kiss from mother.

Beyonce has cited the Jacksons as a career inspiration in the past, heralding the siblings for iconic work.

“When I was just starting out, my first producer used to make me listen to Michael Jackson’s live performance of ‘Who’s Loving You,'” she wrote in 2012. “He would have me watch that for hours back to back to back. What he wanted me to learn was his soul. You could hear his soul. And he was this little kid who hadn’t experienced love but he was a vessel. For whatever reason he could evoke more emotion than an adult. It was so raw and so pure. It was these little things that he did that were just swag. It’s something that’s God given. Michael taught me that sometimes you have to forget technique, forget what you have on.  If you feel silly, you have to go from the gut just let it go. Michael Jackson changed me, and helped me to become the artist I am thank you Michael.”
