Caitlyn Jenner’s historic July 2015 Vanity Fair cover was celebrated all over the world, but her sons, Brody, Brandon, and Burt Jenner, felt it was “too sexy,” the transgender star reveals in a sneak peek of Sunday’s new I Am Cait.
While lounging at Jenner’s Malibu, Calif., pad, the former Olympic gold medalist, 65, tells her pal Candis Cayne in the clip there’s been a “few little incidences” since the reveal of her cover.
"A couple of the kids thought that the Vanity Fair was a little too sexy," says Cait, who was clad in a sexy corset on the revealing magazine cover. "It's the guys [Brody, Brandon, and Burt]. I don't think they get kind of the girl thing."
"But Cait, you have been repressing your inner woman for so many years," Candis tells her.
“I want to respect my kids,” Caitlyn responds.
"And you want them to respect you too, which is super important," her friend tells her. "But you've been living the past 40 years taking care of them and not taking care of yourself."
The rest of the athlete’s clan, however, has been vocal about how gorgeous her cover, shot by Annie Leibovitz, is. Even ex Kris Jenner told Extra Caitlyn’s debut was “beautiful.”
“I think it’s amazing,” Kris said. “I think that someone following their dream is truly inspirational to a lot of people…you have to do what makes you happy.”
