Michael B. Jordan
Michael B. Jordan spoke with Us Weekly about the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, the Apollo Creed movie, and his directing aspirations

Michael B. Jordan is ready to take the world by storm — Johnny Storm, that is. The That Awkward Moment actor just wrapped filming on the 2015 reboot of The Fantastic Four, in which he costars alongside Miles Teller and Kate Mara as Johnny Storm, a.k.a. The Human Torch.

"It took a while to get it all together, but we are incredibly excited to see it happening," Jordan, 27, told Us Weekly of the Marvel superhero flick. "Johnny Storm is such an original character. It was amazing to be able to bring my own take to him. I think people are going to like what we did with it. It's a great cast."

Next up for the Friday Night Lights alum is the Apollo Creed movie, in which he'll star as the fictional boxer's grandson. "It's very exciting for me," Jordan told Us of the Rocky spinoff. "I've been working out with a new trainer and getting pumped."

Acting isn't the only thing on the star's mind, though. "As I get older in this business, I do want to start looking at producing, doing some writing, and eventually directing," he told Us.

He got the opportunity to do just that, in fact, for Axe Gold Temptation, which he endorses. "I co-directed the [Gold Temptation] videos [for Axe]," he explained. "It was fun to put on that hat…It was just a way for me to test the water in doing something behind the scenes. I was grateful for the opportunity to get to flex that muscle."

He added, too, that the new scent is "a great product" — something he's legitimately proud to throw his name behind. "When I put it on, I'll have people come up to me a few times a day saying that they like the smell," he raved. "That's something that you want to keep on using."

Especially on set. "You know when you're filming with an actress, you want to make sure to smell good for them," he quipped to Us. "You don't want to be unpleasant to hug or kiss. I always try to smell my best."
