A far cry from Hannah Montana and Camp Rock! After establishing himself as a solo artist and sizzling hot sex symbol last year, Nick Jonas is taking it a step further with his wild new music video for “Chains.”
The former child star, 22, debuted “Chains (The Wynwood Walls Edition)” on Tuesday, March 31. The sexy new clip stands in stark contrast to earlier visuals for the Nick Jonas single, which dropped with a melancholy video in July 2014.
The fresh take on “Chains” takes an entirely different tone from that of the original dark clip, transporting Jonas to Miami. The youngest Jonas Brother opens the video sweating on a run, stomping the Southern Florida pavement.
He quickly dips home for a shower and a puff on a cigar before he hits Miami’s famed Wynwood district. Jonas parties down, cruising in a souped-up golf cart as he’s surrounded by scantily clad women in costume.
Crooning “You got me in chains, you got me in chains for your love / But, I wouldn’t change, no I wouldn’t change this love / You got me chains, you got me in chains for your love / But, I wouldn’t change, no I wouldn’t change this love,” the star checks out the ladies around him as he shows off some dance moves.
Though the single was originally released last year, it’s seen success in recent weeks. Following the huge airplay of “Jealous,” Jonas’ “Chains” has climbed the Billboard Hot 100, currently sitting at its peek position of No. 20.
