Paper Towns’ First Trailer Debuts: See Cara Delevingne’s Starring Turn!

Double threat! Cara Delevingne has officially arrived in the acting world with her starring role in the upcoming feature film Paper Towns.

The British runway model, 22, stars in the adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars author John Green‘s 2008 novel Paper Towns as Margo Roth Spiegelman. The alluring high school student lives an exciting life of popularity and rebellious stunts, captivating her neighbor Quentin “Q” Jacobsen, played by Nat Wolff (TFIOS).

“The way I figure it, everyone gets a miracle,” the voice of Wolff begins in the preview. “My miracle was, I wound up living across the street from Margo Roth Spiegelman. She was inarguably the most gorgeous creature that god had ever created. Margo’s life was a series of unbelievably epic adventures.”

After pining after his neighbor from afar, Q finally gets his moment with Margo. The two have one wild night together of mischief and bonding before Margo disappears.

“Margo always loved mysteries,” Q explains as he realizes that she is gone. “Maybe she loved them so much, she became one.”

As the authorities get involved, Q and his friends go on a hunt for the disappeared Margo, picking up clues that she has left behind as to her whereabouts. They have their own shenanigans along the way, learning to let go and be brave.

Paper Towns is the first major starring role for Delevingne. She made her acting debut in 2012’s Anna Karenina, going on to book roles in the upcoming Tulip Fever and Pan. The high-fashion stunner revealed last year that she turned to modeling when her initial plan of pursuing acting didn’t work out as planned.

“The first time I went on stage, I just wanted to be an entertainer, a performer,” she told The Mirror. “I prefer acting to modeling. Modeling is where I started and I’ll never turn my back on it, I thank it for everything I’ve done now. Without that I wouldn’t be here now, but it’s not my love, acting is my love.”
